10 Upcoming Movies You Are NOT Ready For
5. Bring It On: Cheer Or Die
If you were one of the few who took one look at the cheerleader comedy franchise that is Bring it On and thought "Hmmm, it's OK. But it definitely needs a sprinkle of slasher", you're in luck!
As revealed by NBCUniversal last year, the film directed by Karen Lam, known for her work on the Van Helsing and Ghost Wars series, will see the franchise currently boasting six entries take a far more horrific turn this fall.
Bring it On: Cheer or Die will reportedly involve a cheer squad faced with a terrifying reality in the wake of a practise session gone wrong inside of an abandoned school on, you guessed it, Halloween. In true slasher fashion, said cheerleaders will reportedly begin to disappear one-by-one before the big bad is likely taken down a peg or two via some out-of-this-world feats of athleticism.. and pom poms?
With She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and Glorious writers Dana Schwartz and Rebekah McKendry, respectively, penning the script and the premise itself sounding like the sort of unexpectedly inspired combination a franchise this stale had been crying out for, there's every chance more than a few folks will be screaming "Bring it On!" when it comes to this horror routine later this year.
