10 Upcoming Sequels In Franchises You Thought Were Long Dead

2. XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage (20??)

The XXX franchise is probably the least interesting action franchise in the world. We can't for a single fathom the idea of somebody being excited about a potential third movie - especially since the first two installments were about as forgettable and brainless as action movies come. The first XXX flick hit theatres back in 2002, whilst the sequel - State of the Union - was released in 2005. So it's been 9 years. Really, what's the point? If you're new to the franchise and have been lucky enough to avoid it (good job), the first XXX movie pretty much involved Vin Diesel going about trying to avoid being killed whilst things exploded around him, whilst he didn't even appear in the sequel. The next flick is - according to Diesel - in development, with Samuel L. Jackson apparently poised for a role. Which is sort of weird, really, given that XXX 2 was a massive flop.
