5. Cheetah
Superman has Lex Luthor, Batman has the Joker and Wonder Woman has Cheetah. There have been a number of different versions of Cheetah over the years, but all of them have been absurd. One of the more recent versions of Cheetah is Barbara Minerva who acquired the ability to transform into a were-cheetah from an ancient plant god. The plant god intended that the host of the Cheetah persona be a virgin, which Minerva was not. As a result, Minerva feels severe pain and disability in human form and euphoric blood lust in cheetah form. There are many parallels between Wonder Woman and Cheetah. Wonder Woman is blessed by the gods where Cheetah is cursed by them. Wonder Woman is loved and nurtured where Cheetah is despised and neglected. Wonder Woman is free to make her own choices where Cheetah is trapped in bondage and servitude. Wonder Woman is virginal where Cheetah is clearly not.
How could she possibly work in film? There was a long period of time where we didn't have the technology to create a "realistic" looking were-cheetah or have the whimsy to accept something less than "realistic". With today's CG technology, we have the ability to produce a version of Cheetah that is "realistic" and both sexy and scary. Cheetah should be included when a Wonder Woman film is eventually made, and the time is now to make a Wonder Woman film.
