10 Video Games Movies We Want To See (And Who Should Direct)

4. Uncharted €“ Edgar Wright

UnchartedVideo Game: The Indiana Jones-esque adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake seem as if they were meant to be a movie from the moment the very first game was created. The outrageous scenarios of shootouts on cargo planes, crashing into the deserts or derailing a train dangling from the edge of a cliff as the hero struggles to climb to safety seem like pure shenanigans, but in Uncharted they live in perfect acceptance. The game is a splendid blend of humor, narrative, and action that has us pleading for a film. Director: Another film that has been talked about for some time, Uncharted needs a director that knows the recipe for comedy and adventure in such perfect measurements that the two genres make the best of bed fellows. Edgar Wright could and should be that person. The man behind Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, The World's End and soon Ant-Man specialises in the tone that this film would need, while giving us the iconic character and set pieces that make Uncharted so special.
