5. Doctor Octopus (Samantha Morton)
Doctor Octopus is one of the greatest Spider-Man villains of all time. Some may go so far to say that his time as the Superior Spider-Man also made him one of the greatest of all time aside from Peter Parker to take on the Spider-mantle.
Fans are clamoring to see him on screen again, especially after Alfred Molina's portrayal aided in creating one of the people superhero movies ever made. How could Sony bring these tentacles to life again?
With a woman's touch.
The Into the Spider-Verse movie brought Olivia Octavius to the screen and there's also an opportunity to bring Carolyn Trainor, a student of Otto Octavius, into the story as well. There are many strong actresses that would give the Doc Ock character the powerful performance it deserves, including Samantha Morton.
Morton's role on The Walking Dead is breathing new life into the show and she's easily in the top-three ranking of villains alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan and David Morrissey's Governor. Morton can convey Ock's intellect and arrogance, as seen in TWD, yet she also has the range to bring the emotional depth necessary to paint this character in more than two-dimensions.
