10 Villains Sony's Spider-Verse Must Introduce (And Who Should Play Them)

Not every bad guy that hits the Spider-Verse should be an unstoppable foe. Sony needs a handful of low-level villains that can be disposed of early in films to help the protagonist establish legitimacy. Instead of letting recognizable names like Tombstone or Hammerhead act as cannon fodder, Sony needs to dive deep into Spider-Man lore.

There are dozens of random villains that could be considered expendable, including Grizzly. An alias that's been used by a handful of Marvel characters, one Grizzly was a Spider-Man foe. A man dressed up in a bear suit doesn't scream cinematic excitement but a few tweaks could make Grizzly a decent on-screen inclusion.

An actor like Brad William Henke (whom viewers will recall from Orange is the New Black and Justified) could give the Grizzly a roaring introduction. Henke's more than a suitable actor capable of filling this role and he could actually make such a ridiculous character seem like a real threat.

Grizzly is also one of the members of the Legion of Losers with The Spot, a group that has a surprising amount of potential if given a decent script.
