10 Wasted Star Wars Characters That Deserved Better
9. Jango Fett
One would think that the progenitor of the entire clone army would've been a bit of a bigger deal, especially considering what said army would later turn out to do. Not only that, but Jango Fett is also the father of another sorely neglected Star Wars character - wasn't this the writers' chance to make up for that?
Obi-Wan Kenobi finds Jango on the planet Kamino, in a facility that creates and raises identical, fast-growing clones of him. A bounty hunter whose work often takes him as far as the Outer Rim, Jango and his 'son', Boba (an unaltered clone with a natural growth rate), attempt to kill Obi-Wan when he suspects Jango of hiring an assassin to kill Padmé Amidala.
He later shows up on Geonosis, working under Count Dooku and overseeing the the execution of Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padmé. When the Jedi show up to lend a hand, Jango makes the mistake of taking on Jedi Master Mace Windu, who effortlessly runs up to him and relieves him of his head.
The last we see of Jango is his helmet, complete with severed head still inside, which Boba picks up and stares at glumly. Another waste of a woefully underdeveloped character.
