Black Panther hints at a thoroughly-designed world full of separate tribes, each with their own culture and way of life. Yet, only two are actually visited in any real sense. Aquaman goes above and beyond in this regard, making sure they at least visit each kingdom. You understand each one of them, see what they look like, and leave before they become too familiar.
There's a strong sense of visual variety, allowing no location to seemingly blend together or feel the same as another. The design team does a great job of distinguishing each society simply using color and character designs to indicate their social and economic levels. World building is done gradually and is put in place at multiple separate points in the movie, whereas BP pretty much shoves you right into the world, opening with full exposition that explains Wakanda's history.
Audiences are introduced to Atlantis and its surrounding areas in a way that shows you a bit of everything but allows for further exploration upon future visits.
