10 Ways Avengers: Age Of Ultron Will Set Up Civil War

8. Captain America Needs Black Panther To Fix His Broken Shield

One of the most iconic shots from the Age of Ultron trailers is of Captain America's cracked, broken shield lying on the floor following a tussle with the titular villain. It certainly gives one cause to wonder how Cap will cope for the rest of the movie, and crucially, how he'll get it fixed. If Marvel have been smart here, this gives them a very simple way to tie one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's biggest outliers into the story. It's known that Black Panther is going to be in Civil War, but many are curious how the Russo Brothers are going to kick-start his involvement with the Avengers. Given that Black Panther's homeland of Wakanda contains a huge stockpile of vibranium in the comics (the metal used to build Cap's shield), it would totally make sense that Civil War (or maybe even Age of Ultron's mid-credits scene) would see Cap going to Wakanda to get his shield fixed. And you can thank Ultron for that one.
