10 Ways Deadpool 2 Is Actually A Huge Disappointment
5. T.J. Miller
This has been covered ad nauseam but with good reason. T.J. Miller is an awful human being. Over the last few months, the actor has been accused of sexual assault, harassment, and making abusive and transphobic comments.
The point being, the creative team behind Deadpool 2 had more than enough reason and time to cut him out of the film in one way or another and they chose not to. If anything, Miller has more screentime in this film than he did in the first one.
All of this is made all the more offensive when considering the case of All The Money in the World. Last year's Ridley Scott film originally starred other accused offender, Kevin Spacey, but over the course of two weeks (!), Scott reshot all of Spacey's scenes with Christopher Plummer. Hell, Plummer was even nominated for an Oscar for his work.
So Deadpool 2 could have easily recast the role in reshoots, or they could have cut him out altogether, or they could have had Deadpool read the news about Miller midway through his first scene, shoot him, and drag Christopher Plummer in to perform the rest of his scenes. In a world as ridiculous and meta as Deadpool's, anything is possible, but instead, they did nothing.
