10 Ways Doctor Strange In Spider-Man 3 Changes Everything

6. The Web Of Life And Destiny

Spider-Man 3 Doctor Strange Multiverse
Marvel Comics

The Web of Life and Destiny is an incredibly important part of the Marvel Multiverse, and something Doctor Strange could very well need Spider-Man's help with before he travels into that realm with the Scarlet Witch at his side in the Multiverse of Madness.

Maintained by the Master Weaver and totemic spider deities, Madame Web (a character who is getting her own solo outing as part of Sony Pictures' Universe of Marvel Characters) and the various incarnations of Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, and others all derive their spider-powers from the Web of Life and are considered totemic entities.

Not only does the introduction of this crazy concept increase Spider-Man's importance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it should also open the door to the introduction of other spider beings, including Silk (who is getting her own TV series) and Spider-Woman (Olivia Wilde is currently in the process of developing a movie starring the character).

With Spider-Man's adventures no longer contained to one world, the hero can help usher in a whole new era of storytelling, starting with this film and moving into the Doctor Strange sequel.
