10 Ways Joker's Origin Movie Could Completely Change The DCEU

Again, one of the more left field moments to have already arrived in the DCEU came in Batman v Superman, when Batman had an apocalyptic vision of an Injustice-like dictatorial Superman laying waste to the world.

It's no coincidence that his goons looked like fascists (because they are), or that Darkseid's Parademons made an appearance. Certainly, there are way too many throwbacks in this sequence to classic Crisis-like tales for it to have been nothing more than just a nightmare scenario. Granted, that means operating under the assumption that BVS somehow wasn't a production littered with story-telling issues, but - in fairness - the possibility is always there that sequences like the one Bruce felt could tie into things later down the line.

Indeed, a Mad Max style film featuring Batman as the leader of an anti-Superman resistance would go down a treat with most audiences, especially those opposed to Henry Cavill's brooding, scowling rendition of the Man of Steel. In that sense, a full length feature based on this particular thread would play to the actor's strengths superbly, and perhaps allow a fresh face to take on the character in a different onscreen universe.
