We're living in uncertain times, and there doesn't appear to be a single industry or person unaffected. Unfortunately, those of you hoping to have superheroes to turn to over the coming weeks and months are likely to be disappointed because not even they can withstand what's happening.

Cinemas across the globe are being forced to close their doors, and movie studios everywhere are pushing back big releases and leaving them undated. Hollywood has never faced a dilemma as big as this one, and pretty much every superhero movie and TV show coming our way in the foreseeable future is going to be impacted in some way.

There's a lot of very important things going on in the world, but people need entertainment, and so no one can be blamed for worrying about the likes of Black Widow, The Batman, and WandaVision!

Here, we're taking an in-depth look at the upcoming superhero movies and TV shows which are set to be affected in some way moving forward, what that actually means for them, and the possible final outcome by the time things hopefully start returning to normal.

Things are difficult now, but it seems likely that all these heroes will rise again...

10. There Could Be A Major Release Date Shuffle For The MCU

THE BATMAN Delay
Marvel Studios

Black Widow has been postponed and will no longer arrive in cinemas as planned in late April/early May. This is a major blow for Marvel fans, but one that could have ramifications for the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward.

Prime release dates aren't easy to come by, and if there's one thing a studio like Disney will not want to do, it's have three or four major blockbusters going head to head over the same weekend. Just imagine, for example, Black Widow squaring off with A Quiet Place: Part 2, Wonder Woman 1984, and Spiral: From The Book of Saw over the same three-day period.

In a scenario like that, there would be no winner, and in order to maintain some semblance of normality, Black Widow might have to take Eternals' release date in November, while that would then replace Shang-Chi in February (the latter is currently not shooting so could struggle to meet that date anyway).

The chronological nature of the MCU is likely to make this a necessity and, as you'll soon see, not even Marvel Studios will emerge unscathed over the next year or two...
