10 Weirdest Footballer Cameos In Movies

2. Olivier Giroud - Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Much like the Fitz Hall entry, I can't really think of an adequate way to open this without promising you that it's not a wind-up. In the French-version of Into The Spider-Verse, Norman Osborn, and his villainous alter-ego The Green Goblin, is voiced by Oliver Giroud.

In Spider-Man: New Generation as it's titled in France, Giroud and Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe were both cast in small but important roles for the alternative language dub of what is, let's face it, probably the greatest animated movie ever made.

While the story centers around the many various Spider-Men/Women/Pigs, the closing scene where New York's entire Rogues Gallery descends on our heroes is an incredible moment in the movie. Amongst the many voices within, are two of France's most prominent footballers, with Giroud playing the incredibly named La Buffon Vert.

My major takeaway from this is that, when he signed for PSG, Kimpembe's new goalkeeping colleague Gianluigi's surname actually translated as Goblin. Every day's a school day.
