10 Weirdest Things Actors Were Cast As
5. Samuel L. Jackson Is A Penguin Narrator - Farce Of The Penguins
Possessing one of the most distinct and recognisable voices in all of pop culture, any project that boasts the vocal qualities of one Samuel L. Jackson is always worth a minute of your time.
However, few of said features and TV offerings hold a candle to one particular parody documentary that was brought into existence by the late Bob Saget back in 2007 when it comes to sheer insanity.
Acting as a direct comedic response to 2005's much-publicised March of the Penguins, Saget takes on the role of Carl the Emperor penguin, with the writer-director also bringing in the likes of Christina Applegate, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tracy Morgan along for the farcical ride that uses real-life footage of penguins to create comedy gold.
Yet, the sound of Jackson brilliantly narrating all of the action alone is enough to make you question what was in the popcorn you were stuffing in your mouth as the opening credits unrolled.
Hell, the sequence that sees Jackson verbally sparring with a penguin he classes as a "nut-less motherf***er" has to rank as one of the most surreal and priceless unexpected duels in cinematic history.
