Album: Hellbilly Deluxe (1998)

References: As any fan of The Munsters will tell you, Drag-U-La was the name of Grandpa’s dragster and was built by Barris Kustom Industries, who also designed the Batmobile. In the episode Herman’s Hot Rod, Grandpa created it to win back the Munster Koach, which Herman had managed to lose in a drag race.

The 1966 film Munster Go Home tells the same story slightly differently, with Grandpa building the dragster from scratch after Herman totalled the Koach. Zombie probably prefers the Herman’s Hot Rod version – in the music video, he drives the Koach (with the Devil riding shotgun) while footage from the episode is shown on a TV in House Of 1000 Corpses.

Dialogue Samples: “Superstition, fear and jealousy….”

- Horror Hotel (aka City Of The Dead, 1960)
