In the sixth film of the Harry Potter franchise, The Half-Blood Prince, Harry used the spell 'Sectumsempra' against Draco Malfoy. Harry had learnt the spell in his second-hand potions book but did not know the effects that the spell would have. He cast it blindly in their duel and it nearly cost Draco his life.

Sectumsempra was a spell created by Severus Snape, the Half-Blood Prince, that severely lacerated the opponent, causing excessive haemorrhaging. It nearly fatally wounded Draco Malfoy before Snape cast life saving magic to heal him.

Harry did not know what the spell's effects were, but he was driven by anger toward Draco and used it anyway. It was a brash and stupid attack that nearly turned Harry into a murderer. Without studying the spell first, Harry's decision to use it was a terrible idea.

If you have clicked on here, get ready to be bored. I'm just a 20 year old white male who has a (probably) unhealthy obsession with pop culture Film and TV. Handy in a trivia game but not much else. My parents were never murdered, I'm not avenging my dead wife. Just plain, old sat at a computer with a head full of knowledge I mostly don't use I was born and raised in the Black Country near Birmingham, England however am now living in Manchester, England after I moved here two years ago. I currently attend the University of Salford, studying Broadcast Journalism. That's it really. Told you there was nothing special. If you're really that desperate for something to do, follow me on socials. Yes, I do like that ego boost.
