10 Worst Decisions Harry Potter Ever Made

3. Using Unforgivable Curses

Harry has proved himself as a powerful wizard who has fought and resisted strong dark wizards and witches. However, his decision to indulge his dark side and use two of the three Unforgivable Curses is a bad one.

In his hunting of Bellatrix Lestrange, Harry used the Cruciatus Curse to incapacitate and inflict pain, as she had just killed Sirius Black. His anger and loathing meant he was more susceptible to Voldemort's manipulation. Despite not casting the spell properly and eventually resisting Voldemort, it was certainly a more questionable moment for the hero.

In the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Harry also used the Imperious Curse on Travers in order to gain access into Gringotts Bank. Controlling another person's mind is a morally ambiguous act, even with good intentions, that left Harry feeling closer to the enemy than the hero.

If you have clicked on here, get ready to be bored. I'm just a 20 year old white male who has a (probably) unhealthy obsession with pop culture Film and TV. Handy in a trivia game but not much else. My parents were never murdered, I'm not avenging my dead wife. Just plain, old sat at a computer with a head full of knowledge I mostly don't use I was born and raised in the Black Country near Birmingham, England however am now living in Manchester, England after I moved here two years ago. I currently attend the University of Salford, studying Broadcast Journalism. That's it really. Told you there was nothing special. If you're really that desperate for something to do, follow me on socials. Yes, I do like that ego boost.
