10 Worst Horror Movie Decisions With Unbelievable Consequences
8. Refusing To Forgive Jigsaw - Saw III
Oh boy, Saw III's test subject Jeff Denlon (Angus Macfadyen) really had no idea what fresh hell he would wreak upon himself and his family when he decided to murder John Kramer aka Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), did he?
Jeff's final test is to either kill Jigsaw or forgive him, and unsurprisingly, the hot-headed, thoroughly pissed-off Jeff decides to take a circular saw to Kramer's throat, killing him instantly.
Yet this isn't the end of Jeff's ordeal: his wife Lynn (Bahar Soomekh) is also a test subject who has been fitted with an explosive neck collar tied to Jigsaw's heartbeat. And so, when Kramer dies, Lynn is also brutally killed a few moments later.
It somehow gets even worse, though: before dying, Jigsaw also reveals that he's sealed away Jeff and Lynn's daughter Corbett (Niamh Wilson), and Jeff will need to play another game to retrieve her.
Yet he doesn't get much of an opportunity, as Saw IV reveals that Jeff got himself killed a few moments later when Agent Strahm (Scott Patterson) reached the area and saw Jeff waving a gun around like a lunatic. Strahm then promptly shot him in self-defense.
And so, Jeff's refusal to forgive Jigsaw caused his poor daughter to become an orphan, and in killing Kramer he also indirectly laid the path out for Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) to succeed Kramer as an altogether more sadistic, "unfair" Jigsaw successor.
