10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2018
1. The Open House
Released on Netflix early this year, The Open House leaves you with a palpable disappointment that's pretty difficult to pull off, but oh boy, do Matt Angle and Suzanne Coote manage it.
Telling the misguided story of a mother that moves herself and her son into her sisters mountain chalet, the only catch is they have to leave the house on Sundays in order for an open house to take place, as the property has been recently put on the market.
After the weekly event, strange things begin to occur around the home - such as the pilot light on the hot water tank going out, and items being moved or stolen. What turns out to be the cause of such spooky antics is perhaps the most ill-thought out and boring explanation you'll get, leaving The Open House a frustrating waste of time with very little pay off.
Seriously, it's just terrible. There isn't a redeeming factor. It's like watching an hour and a half of Scooby Doo storytelling without even the faintest attempt at pulling the strings together in any sort of satsfying way. Don't waste your time.
