10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2019

5. Tone Deaf

For a movie called Tone Deaf, it is strange that the films struggles with its actual tone so much.

The story pits a stereotypical selfish millennial against a psychotic baby boomer, which sounds like “OK BOOMER” (The Movie). Unfortunately, the potential for anything funny or scary to happen is squandered. The film does not seem to know how to handle the satire it is trying to pull off. When Tone Deaf tries to be funny, it goes for easy jokes targeted at both generations that feel like old hat. When Tone Deaf tries to be scary, it comes off as bad comedy.

The biggest bummer is this movie had potential. It is shot and edited wonderfully, and it has Robert Patrick in it as the crazy baby boomer. Unfortunately, the film never quite puts all the pieces together to make itself work.
