10 Worst Marvel Superhero Movies Ever

9. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Ghost Rider
Fox

It's a bit crazy to think how something so bad could spawn so much good.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine decided to focus on the most popular X-Man around, starring Hugh Jackman as fans watched exactly how the mutant turned into the character we all know and love. Turns out though, it wasn't a very good. At all.

With terrible CGI that made Wolverine's claws look faker than ever, lacklustre action, shoehorned characters, and character assassination for a certain merc with a mouth, nothing about the movie seemed worth it. However, in an effort to correct their mistakes, a lot of great projects came out as a result.

Because of the critical panning the movie got, the plans for a X-Men Origins: Magneto movie were reworked to go into the fantastic X-Men: First Class. Ryan Reynolds' amazing performance as Deadpool in the movie( before his unfortunate transformation into Mortal Kombat's Baraka) earned a lot of love from fans, convincing Fox to try out a Deadpool movie with a proper representation of the character.

This also started off the Wolverine trilogy, which both follow-ups being incredibly good. And to top it all off, the tie-in video game was also a pretty fun time.

This movie was awful, but at the end of the day, it's one of the best things that could have happened to the X-Men brand. At least for the short term.
