10 Worst MCU Deleted Scenes EVER
1. Thor Visits The Norn Cave - Avengers: Age Of Ultron
And finally, we have surely the most polarising MCU deleted scene of all time, because while it explains arguably the single-most confusing and bizarre moment in the entire franchise, it is in of itself a total mess.
Remember when Thor and Erik Selvig (Stellan SkarsgÄrd) took a trip to a strange cave in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Thor witnessed a vision of an apocalyptic future?
The scene is a massively choppy trainwreck, largely because it was cut down from this much longer deleted scene which test audiences found even more incoherent.
Basically, the full scene sees Thor possessed by the goddess of destiny Norn, allowing Selvig to ask questions about Ultron (James Spader) and the Infinity Stones.
While in fairness the scene was clearly never completed given the rather chintzy visual effects and wonky sound work, it's still a sure misfire.
It feels too silly and out of place compared to the rest of the movie, it's a glorified exposition dump, and it's easy to see why test audiences were confused by it.
What little remains of the scene in the final movie isn't great either, but it would've been a whole lot worse with two extra minutes of Thor spitting hot air.
