10 Worst MCU Deleted Scenes EVER
2. Tony Meets Older Morgan Stark - Avengers: Endgame
Without question the most pivotal scene in the entire MCU to be cut is the much-discussed "Tony at the Way Station" sequence from Endgame, where after dying, Tony gets a brief farewell with an adult version of his daughter Morgan, played by Katherine Langford (whose entire role was cut from the movie as a result).
Watching the scene play out, it's incredibly easy to see why it was cut: though Downey Jr. and Langford both give fine enough performances, their chemistry just feels lacking, and the scene ultimately doesn't achieve the intense emotion it was clearly gunning for.
On their Disney+ commentary for the scene, the Russos stated that they cut it primarily because they felt audiences wouldn't connect with an older Morgan without knowing her beforehand, and they're totally right.
Like the Avengers taking a knee for Tony, it's relatively cheesy and would've laid the heartbreak of his death on way too thickly for what the movie needed. And again, the film's long enough without it.
