10 Worst MCU Films (So Far)

3. Eternals

The MCU's latest film is the first to get a rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes and oh boy, is it deserved.

Eternals is maybe the MCU's most frustrating film, since the trailers were impressive, the talent assembled was substantial and in the film itself there are legitimately some very interesting themes and ideas, so there was so much potential here. Therefore, it's a damn shame the final product was such a damp squib.

Eternals is essentially two and a half hours of tension-free action scenes, lifeless exposition and half-arsed plot-lines, making this a dull and utterly soulless affair. It also woefully fails to develop its characters and virtually none of these new heroes are memorable at all.

As for the amazing cast, only Bryan Tyree Henry is given the chance to do much actual acting while the film's incredible director, Chloe Zhao, is also wasted since she wasn't suited to the material.

Let's face it: the post-Infinity War MCU films have, aside from Endgame and Shang-Chi, all been let-downs. It does seem like the MCU is losing its way and the franchise should really either take a break or just call it quits. After all, Endgame was a perfect ending.
