4. Walter Sparrow Wrote The Book All Along - The Number 23
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOioiYBGeUM Joel Schumacher's woeful 2007 thriller The Number 23 did little to aid Jim Carrey's career when he really needed the help. He plays Walter Sparrow, an unassuming man who gets a booked called The Number 23 as a present from his wife, soon enough causing Walter to obsess over the number 23 in every way possible. Oh, and the book is written by someone called Topsy Kretts. Let that sink in for a moment. If you can't see where I'm going with this, then you might actually enjoy the film... Walter is Topsy (Top Secrets, get it?), and a missing 23rd chapter explains that he killed a girl in college and tried to follow suit, though failed, only giving himself a head injury which allowed him to forget what had happened. From here the film spends half an hour trying to explain away every nagging question you might have, thought frankly, I expect most audiences had given up long before the end.
