1. Sssssss

Just finding information about Sssssss proves troubling because, believe it or not, Google tends to presume that anyone typing the same 7 letters in succession has probably fallen asleep on their keyboard. This 1973 movie about killer snakes at least had the sense to name itself more appropriately in the UK - here it's called Ssssnake, a slight improvement - whereas the original title just doesn't have the visceral effect the filmmakers no doubt intended. After all, wouldn't it make more sense to call it "Hiss" or "Hissssssssss"? Repeating the letter S does not to most people evoke the sound of a snake's hiss, and one can only imagine that even those who wanted to see the film struggled with how to pronounce it at the cinema ticket window. If cinema has featured its share of lazy, inane titles, then Sssssss has to surely, almost by default, be the worst of the lot. What are your least favourite movie titles?
