10 Worst Oscar Winning Actors Ever
2. Mira Sorvino
Just a few years into her career, Mira Sorvino scooped a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her frothily entertaining performance in Woody Allen's 1995 film Mighty Aphrodite...and has done almost nothing of mention ever since.
Sure, a lot of people have a soft spot for both Romy and Michele's High School Reunion and Guillermo del Toro's Mimic, but in the two decades since, she's starred in just three mildly-praised movies, and literally more than 20 critical duds.
Sorvino certainly keeps herself busy, with seven projects currently in some stage of production, but her films tend to go straight-to-VOD almost exclusively these days, and there's little indication she's doing anything but turning up for a paycheck.
Her career began so promisingly, but her failure to prove herself capable of carrying a major movie presumably discouraged her from, well, actually trying.
