10 Worst Performances In 2017 Movies (So Far)

3. Goldie Hawn - Snatched

Everyone had high hopes for Snatched after Amy Schumer's last major comedy movie, Trainwreck, was surprisingly strong.

But her latest fell flat on its face, earning a measly 36 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and delivering a less-than impressive box-office performance as a result.

Fortunately for Schumer, the film's material is right up her alley - which is to be expected, since she exec-produced it. It's her type of humour and she delivers her jokes capably; problem is they just aren't that funny.

However, Hollywood veteran Goldie Hawn does not fare quite so well.

She's a 5' 6" actress swimming in the deep end and as a result, and it's not too long before she begins to drown. She's unable to gel properly with Schumer's brand of raunchy humour and none of her jokes land with a bang; they crawl miserably over the finish line, like a wounded animal desperately seeking shelter.

It's also embarrassingly clear that she's been out of the acting game for quite some time, too (her last feature-film credit was fifteen years ago). She looks uncomfortable, and a lot of her physical comedy feels unintentionally awkward.

Ultimately, Snatched was not the return to mainstream movies Goldie Hawn should have gone for. By accepting a role in the film she's not playing to her strengths in any way, shape or form, and the evidence is onscreen.
