10 Worst Performances In Comic Book Movies

6. Uma Thurman - Poison Ivy (Batman & Robin)

Most Batman fans consider Batman and Robin as the moment where everything went wrong. From casting a male heartthrob as the world's greatest detective to using Bat ice skates to take down Mr. Freeze, this was when Batman lost all of his darkness and became too silly for his own good.

Even with everything that's wrong with this movie, the worst adversary Batman faces actually goes to one of the most talented actors on the roster.

On the surface, Uma Thurman actually has an interesting take on Poison Ivy, but the amount of one-liners she is being forced to say makes her sound like the most generic villain in the history of cinema. Granted, it's not like she has any real competition with Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze, but her performance somehow ends up coming off much worse.

Many people tend to forget that even though Arnold isn't a great actor, the one-liners actually sound somewhat charming when he says them. When you put the same script in front of one of the standouts of Pulp Fiction, you start to see just how much of a nosedive the dialogue has taken. Sure, plants are cool, but when that's the only really attribute to your villain, you have a gaping hole in your plot.
