The Almighty Thor - Kevin Nash
Syfy

Perhaps not as well known for his movie roles, 'Big Daddy Cool' actually boasts a hefty list of film appearances. Featuring in successful titles like Magic Mike, Rock of Ages and John Wick, Kevin Nash has shown a handy knack for cameo parts in recent years. One of his more prominent roles saw the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion play the part of Odin in Christopher Olen Ray's sci-fi release, Almighty Thor. The film premiered on the Syfy cable network in May of 2011, and was released on DVD in the United States the same month. Movies being released direct-to-video is rarely a good sign...

As far as mockbusters go, this 2011 film was about as bad as the rest, with a low budget and poor performances. Put simply, it's an 80-minute headache. The familiar face of the New World Order founder as Thor's father though, does give wrestling fanatics a reason to watch it. His futile attempt to retrieve the hammer from Loki, resulting in his death, was a far cry from the badass, Jackknife powerbomb-ing legend we used to watch inside the ropes, although we can't deny he fits the role as a mythical God remarkably well...

Despite this venture into the sci-fi world, Kevin Nash will always be remembered as a wrestling legend. Having won 21 championships across WCW, WWE and TNA, along with his work in establishing the nWo as one of the greatest stables in the industry's history, the man we once called Diesel certainly boasts better credentials in wrestling than he does in fighting Loki...
