1. Geoff Johns
This brings us to the number one spot, and why not? Geoff Johns has been writing comics trying to shop around his idea for Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E in the late 90s. He got his first huge gig writing for JSA (Justice Society of America) alongside David Goyer in 2000. Since that time, Johns has been responsible for re-establishing the popularity of Justice League mainstays such as Green Lantern and Flash, by bringing back Hal Jordan and literally bringing Barry Allen back from the dead. Aside from the aforementioned, he's worked on Batman, Teen Titans, Shazam!, and Aquaman. That's leaving out his work on Infinite Crisis as well as 52. These are characters that he knows, and characters that he can write well. Don't get the idea that he's just a comic writer, either. In addition to his comic duties, he's served as creative consultant and co-producer on the Green Lantern film. Geoff also served as a writer for Smallville, being responsible for some of the high-profile episodes that came in towards the series end. This includes bringing in the JSA and Legion of Superheroes. Currently Johns also writes for DC's newest series, Arrow. Johns is the go to guy for DC when it comes to Justice League and Justice Society characters. Team ups are his thing, and being the man behind revitalizing some of the most prominent key members of the JLA should make him an asset, and I'd think a key ingredient to a future Justice League movie.
So that's it from me. If you have any ideas for your own, please let it be known in the comments section!
