9. New Yorkers Promise Not To Reveal Spider-Man's Identity - Spider-Man 2
Here's a daft scene I'm less able to tolerate, as Spider-Man saves a subway car full of New Yorkers in the middle of Spider-Man 2. During this rescue, Peter has to remove his Spider-Man mask, revealing his identity to everyone in the car, but what's truly ridiculous is how every single person promises not to reveal his identity, when in reality, this being New York, they'd all have their camera phones out as they carried him inside, ruining the life of the man who saved theirs. Though it fits in with the cheery, breezy tone of the Spider-Man films, it's just a sickening level of optimism in the human race that my mind, tainted by Chris Nolan superhero films and a more general misanthropy, is unable to stomach. Still, there's worse to come than that in the Spidey franchise...
