10 X-Men Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off
10. Deadpool
Wait, what? Tenth, are you serious? Deadpool is tenth only because he's not technically part of the X-Men. He's a character in the universe, yes, but he's more of a standalone guy at this point. He considered himself part of them at one point, and he has been an ally (and betrayed them as well). He was also absolutely wasted in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, to a point that the character could almost not return from. Oh, and he's not technically a mutant. He has accelerated healing thanks to the Weapon X program (that also bonded adamantium to Wolverine's skeleton). A Deadpool movie with Ryan Reynolds has been talked about for ages, and came up again earlier this year when test footage was leaked. Feedback on said footage was fantastic. Thanks in part to that leak, a Deadpool movie finally has a release date: February, 2016. Take it with a grain of salt, based on the history of this project. However, when it does happen, hopefully it undoes all the damage the Origins film did.
