10 X-Men Stories You'll Never Seen On Film

10. That Time They Went To Australia

Chris Claremont did a lot of great stuff with the X-Men: he was responsible for fleshing out the characters to the point that they became the cultural icons they are today, and he did so through classic storylines like The Dark Phoenix Saga and Days Of Future Past. His lasting effect on X-Men is unparalleled. Some of his ideas were better than others, however. Like the time he decided the X-Men should up sticks and move to Australia for, like, three years or something. Following a storyline where the world assumed the mutant team had been killed, they took advantage of the mistake by heading to the other side of the globe. Why exactly they did that isn't very clear. It also wasn't clear why they continued using their names, as if their escapades never made it to Australia. Anyway, it'll never wind up on screen, unless the series suffers a dip in budget or Hugh Jackman starts refusing to act in anything not shot in his back yard.
