10 X-Men Stories You'll Never Seen On Film

9. Madeline Pryor

Jean Grey dies. A lot. Thankfully the movie universe has only killed the X-Men's premiere psychic off the once, in The Last Stand's shonky adaptation of the Dark Phoenix Saga, and she's just been brought back thanks to Days Of Future Past's in-film retcon. So everyone's alive and happy and no need to worry about any more of that nonsense from the comics, eh? Of course, Jean Grey has actually been killed off and brought back countless times in the comics. Because writers struggle to come up with new ideas. Hopefully a similar fate won't befall Famke Janssen (or Sansa Stark), even if they bring her back via Madeline Pryor. Cyclops fell in love with this other fiery redhead after Jean's death, and was intended by Chris Claremont for Madeline to be his life-long partner, planning to write her out of the book. Then she turned out to be a Jean clone, or something. Even X-Men Origins: Wolverine wasn't that stupid.
