11 Awesome 2015 Horror Movies To Watch This Halloween
10. Tales Of Halloween
Easily the year's best horror anthology (though it's not exactly had stellar competition), Tales of Halloween brings together the likes of Neil Marshall (The Descent), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II) and Lucky McKee (The Woman) for ten horror shorts, and though it's undeniably inconsistent, it's still wildly entertaining for the most part. Yes, ten shorts is far too many for a 92-minute film and it would've benefited from either being longer or cutting one or two shorts out, but when it works, it really does. Marshall's Bad Seed is a particular stand-out, and thankfully there are only a few "meh" entries among the bunch rather than any actually being terrible. It certainly doesn't hurt that the film is littered with horror legends among its cast, including Lin Shaye, Barry Bostwick and Adrienne Barbeau, while there are also cameos from directors Joe Dante and John Landis. It's as imperfect as any horror anthology, but it's thoroughly entertaining for the majority, and hopefully ushers in a franchise of these films.
