The original Midnight Movie and forerunner of cult cinema as we know it today, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a film that’s just as iconic and beloved today as it was when it first screened all the way back in 1975.

A homage and love letter to the B-Movies of the 50s, the film introduces us to wholesome newlyweds Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon).

However, on their way to meet a friend of theirs, their car breaks down in the middle of a downpour, causing them to seek shelter at the nearby Gothic castle. Unfortunately for the couple, though, this is the home of Dr Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a sweet transvestite set to unveil his latest creation.

Unable to leave the scientist’s home, the pair become witness to a night of madness, murder, and a sexual awakening that they’ll never forget. Everyone knows this film for “The Time Warp” and Curry’s sensational performance of “Sweet Transvestite”; however, it’s other tracks like “I’m Going Home” and “Wild And Untamed Thing” that has allowed this cinematic outcast to connect deeply with fans.

Best seen with a rowdy crowd, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the definition of a cult phenomenon.
