11 Giant Mistakes The DCEU Has Already Made

9. Firing Michelle McLaren From Wonder Woman

DC made a big deal out of hiring acclaimed TV director Michelle McLaren (Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones) for the Wonder Woman movie, stating that it was important to hire a talented female director to take charge of the character. They kind of shot themselves in the foot when they fired her a short time later, as it turns out she thought she€™d have some kind of creative input into the story. She and the studio had constant arguments about the direction it should go during pre-production, as they didn€™t like any of her ideas and she didn't like any of theirs. They hired her exactly because she was a talented director who spoke her mind, but when she wouldn€™t play along they dropped her for the same reason; which is a little embarrassing. They soon replaced her with Monster director Patty Jenkins, which is a risky choice as she€™s never directed anything with the scope of a summer blockbuster before.
