11 Hidden Star Wars Movie Details You Never Noticed
5. C-3PO's Storytelling Ability
While C-3PO's cowardice remains consistent throughout the movies, his storytelling ability seems to develop nicely.
When Luke first meets C-3PO, the protocol droid makes it clear from the start that he's "not much more than an interpreter and not very good at telling stories". Fair enough, you probably wouldn't expect a standard protocol droid to be able to do that anyways. As we learn over the original trilogy, however, C-3PO isn't any standard protocol droid. Well, maybe he is, but he's got himself a first-class seat on the galaxy's grandest adventure.
Over the events of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, C-3PO is always present and playing a role in the action somehow. Maybe it's this newfound experience that allowed C-3PO to finally tell their grand story to the Ewoks on Endor. Not only did he tell the story, but he had the entire Ewok audience completely captivated.
Whether '3PO actually gained some skills in storytelling, or he's just really good at recounting events that he's been a part of, it's solid character development and a subtle nod to the original film.
