11 Lame Comic Book Movies You Had No Idea Even Existed

6. Man-Thing (2005)

manthing2005 They say you shouldn't judge a movie by its title (?), but Man-Thing is exactly about as good as it sounds, in the sense that it's not good at all, and why did you expect otherwise? Another straight-to-TV "classic" here, based on the character created by Stan Lee and three other people whose names are less famous. Man-Thing is genuinely described as a "shambling swamp monster," whose powers are to "burn those who feel fear." All right, then. This TV version was made by the Sci-Fi channel, which should give you a fair idea as to its level of quality. I doubt anybody who watched this finished a day of shooting and felt good about themselves. The acting is stiff, the special effects are tragic, and the movie is boring as hell. There also seems to be zero tolerance when it comes to "respecting the source material," as much of the character's origin story are changed, and... aw, who cares?
