11 Most Disappointing Movies From Summer 2017

3. Snatched

The Buzz: A buddy comedy starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn (who barely makes anything anymore), written by Parks and Recreation and Ghostbusters writer Katie Dippold, and directed by the brilliant Jonathan Levine (50/50, The Night Before).

What We Got: Rather than another outrageous and heartfelt winner from Levine, Snatched felt like him pimping himself out as a hack for fire, working from a boilerplate studio comedy script that didn't exploit Schumer and Hawn's fun chemistry for all it was worth.

Nothing stings more than the fact that the male support (Christopher Meloni, Ike Barinholtz and Bashir Salahuddin) is way funnier than either of the leads, and Joan Cusack is also completely wasted here.

You might watch it on Netflix some time in the future, but you'll probably forget you did within a matter of days.
