7. This Is What Ghostbusters' CGI Slimer Looks Like

The first trailer for Paul Feig's upcoming Ghostbusters reboot dropped this past week to a...divisive reception to say the least. Some felt it was trying too hard to recapture the magic of the original, whereas others welcomed it as a new spin on familiar material. The trailer showed off not only the new female protagonists but also plenty of the ghostly villains, including Slimer, who is briefly seen rampaging across the screen. Slimer's inclusion isn't massively surprising, but fans were naturally divided given that the visual effects style is fairly different from that of the original movies, constructed entirely of CGI rather than the combination of practical and optical effects that made Slimer come to life over 30 years ago.
