11 Reasons Joss Whedon Can't Save Justice League Alone

3. Warner Bros. Needs To Leave Whedon Alone

It's no secret that Warner Bros. loves to micro-manage its projects, what with Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad both suffering from extensive executive molestation that was almost certainly to their detriment.

While the studio will understandably want to keep a close eye on a project as troubled and important as Justice League, if they want to avoid previous mistakes they'll also want to supervise Whedon from a vert respectful distance.

He's nothing if not a steady pair of hands, so Warner Bros. ideally needs to just let him do his thing and see what happens. By most accounts Patty Jenkins was largely left to her own devices on Wonder Woman, and the results speak for themselves.

Considering that Marvel Studios' excessive controls are generally cited as one of the reasons why Whedon bailed from the MCU, it's probably safe to say that he wouldn't sign onto the DCEU without major assurances that he'd be left alone.

If he's got the bean-counting executives putting their microscopes away, then that's really half the battle won.
