3. The Supporting Cast Is Insanely Good
What The Haters Think: "Ben Affleck is wrong for Batman, Henry Cavill is just OK as Superman, Jesse Eisenberg is no Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons is a poor substitute for Michael Caine, and don't even get us started on Gal Godot as Wonder Woman." Why They're Wrong: For starters, Jeremy Irons is an absolutely fantastic pick to play Alfred, and though he'll have a lot to measure up to, his tense dialogue in the teaser trailer suggests he'll do a fine job as a more serious-minded take on the character. That's just the tip of the iceberg, though, because the cast also features a number of other Oscar nominees and winners, with Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne reprising their roles from Man of Steel, alongside the acclaimed likes of Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy, Jena Malone, and of course, as Aquaman, Jason Momoa. Even if you've got unbridled hate for everything this movie represents, it's tough to argue that the cast (particularly the roster of supporting players) isn't incredible. Are all these people just taking easy paycheques, or is it in actuality that they all thought the script was great? Time will tell, but the smart money's on the latter.
