Impenetrably pretentious and utterly frustrating, this artsy, probably well-intentioned tale of a rising gay film-maker could have been a good idea, but it was done so awfully that it is almost impossible to draw any pleasure from it at all.
Overall it's just an unjustified exercise in self-congratulation. A filmic masturbation.
