As goofy as that opening is, it does lead to one of the all-time best title sequences in Bond history.

While it may seem a bit primitive and stripped-down by today's standards, it was still leagues ahead of the more basic title sequences of previous Bond films, with a winning combination of ever-changing colours, silhouettes both sexy and dangerous swimming through the water, bubbles (!) and a killer Tom Jones title track.

This was also the movie that kick-started the trend of Maurice Binder's legendary, creative opening title sequences, as he only designed the gun-barrel sequences for the previous Bond films.

And above all else, these titles are entirely indicative of what the movie is all about: water (but more on that later).
