Why She Might Win: This would be a fierce supporting part for any actress, and Sagal has proven over a storied career that she can play intense with the best of them. Considering that most of her scenes will be spent acting opposite rising star Teller, there's the potential for a fantastic double act here, and helping her cause is the possibility that many may feel that the 62-year-old actress is long overdue Academy Award recognition. Why It's Unexpected: Because though we all love Sagal in Futurama and Sons Of Anarchy, her significant movie roles are very few and far between, and if the movie hits the right marks, it'll likely be a shock to the system for Oscar voters who wouldn't have considered her previously. It'd be awesome though, and would make for one hell of a compelling underdog Oscar narrative.
