10. Arnold Schwarzenegger - Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines
Salary: $30 Million It might seem odd to refer to Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines as an Indie film seeing that its the third instalment of a blockbuster series but thats exactly what it was. The film was financed independently, but to secure Arnolds involvement since he was reluctant to return without James Cameron he received an eye-watering $30 million salary, plus 20% of the films gross. Nice work if you can get it. Arnie also had his eye on the Governors office while he was making it, so he used the film to promote his eventual campaign. He made sure the production stayed in California instead of moving to Canada, and he even paid for some scenes to be shot when the movie went over budget. History shows this was a good promotion for his campaign, so it was another dozen years before he played The Terminator again. In hindsight, maybe T3 would have been a good time to stop.
