12 Acting Salaries You Simply Won't Believe

5. Sandra Bullock - Gravity

Salary: $80 Million (Estimated) Gravity €“ the most spellbinding movie you€™ll only watch once €“ had a tough time getting a greenlight because the studio was afraid to invest in something so costly without a major name. Their preferred choice Angelina Jolie wasn€™t interested, despite being offered the role multiple times. They eventually came to Sandra Bullock, who was fresh off her Oscar win for The Blind Side. There€™s been a lot said recently about the shameful disparity in pay between male and female actors, but Sandra made sure she was well compensated for Gravity€™s complicated shoot. She received $20 million upfront, and a further percentage of the profit once the movie made a certain amount. Since Gravity would go on to earn a modest $700 million worldwide, around $50-60 million of that went right into her bank account, bringing the total somewhere in the league of $80 million. That must have been a fun bank statement to receive.
